On the parenting pride of my big trip.

Parenting Pride

Hopefully this doesn’t jinx our big trip — we have a day at legoland and a 9h flight to go — but i’m so proud of myself and my kids for going on this trip.

It’s been utterly exhausting but i’m just so proud we did it.

I believe it was the right thing to do — to bring my kids to visit my family — even if it is incredibly difficult.

I’m so proud I am doing a difficult thing purely for my kids benefit.

I haven’t had a single hour to myself before 9PM but still; I have thought of this trip as the equivalent of a strenuous backpacking trip or something.

As a kid, I can’t remember a day (let alone a week) where I felt the level of sacrifice i’m giving to my kids right now.

This is really hard but my kids love it. I want more of this, and I don’t always want to do it alone.

Peter's blog has noticed that this post has a lot of em-dashes in it. Peter wants to reassure you that unless the post clearly states it was written with AI at the top of the post, it was not written by AI, he just really likes em-dashes, and is sad that AI kind of ruined them. BTW this notice only shows on posts that were indeed written by Peter, not AI.
